Our Process

THE TRAVEL PLAN

There’s not one recipe for success at UPBrand, but our process is the closest thing to it. We follow a set of steps for every project to efficiently get to the root of the ask and develop brand-building content for our clients. It also helps us hold each other accountable, recreate success and stay true to our mission.

However, this method is a living, breathing thing that evolves with our work over time. It’s kind of like a trip itinerary. You have the routes mapped out, but there’s always room to make adjustments as you go along to make the experience that much better. Each trip is different from the last.

Our project process typically follows these checkpoints:

1

Project Initiation:

The brand team kicks things off by creating a scope of work with the client. If scoped, the brand management team will conduct a discovery process which involves reviewing assets and conducting research. PROPS provides assistance with estimates, creates a project on Basecamp and pulls together a team based on availability.

2

Kickoff Meeting:

The whole team is gathered for a download meeting where team members can ask questions about the brief, express additional needs and evaluate the requirements.

3

Creative Development:

To allow ideas to flow naturally, the creative process follows a more organic path. It starts off with a brainstorm session then follows up with a creative evolution meeting where ideas are further defined. After this internal team connection, rough write-ups and visual styles are created for the incubation meeting.

4

Incubation Meeting (Internal Review #1):

The whole project team gathers to discuss creative progress which is expected to be loosely 30% complete. Everyone provides feedback on concept ideas and visuals while keeping the brief and timeline in mind. The creative team continues down the discussed path for our next internal review meeting.

5

Implementation Meeting (Internal Review #2):

The creative team presents revised concepts that are nearly complete. Brand management and PROPS provide feedback to tighten everything up as needed, and the creative team gets the work client-ready. We’re crossing T’s and dotting I’s while preparing for client presentation.

6

Client Revisions:

After the team presents to or shares with the client, brand managers and PROPS communicate revision needs to the creative team. This process repeats – within scope – until the client is satisfied with the work.

7

Project Completion:

The final files are saved to the appropriate final locations on the server and also sent to the client and/or vendor, and the work is officially live. The creative team can create a case study that can be used to showcase our work.

8

Debrief Meeting:

Upon project completion, we can talk about what went well, what could have gone better and the overall results. This meeting can be requested by any member of the project team at any time and is focused on learnings and  improvements.
